Eaton 5P650IR UPS—Compact Rack Power Protection

The Eaton 5P650IR UPS is a 650 VA / 420 W line-interactive uninterruptible power supply tailored for reliable protection of small-to-medium IT infrastructure. Its 1U rackmount form factor makes it ideal for server cabinets, network cabinets, edge racks, and telecom closets where space optimization and dependable power continuity are essential.

Power Performance & Technology

The UPS utilises line-interactive topology with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to stabilise fluctuating mains voltage without resorting to battery power unless necessary, reducing wear on the battery while maintaining clean, conditioned power to connected loads. It delivers a pure sine-wave output at 230 V nominal (configurable to regional voltages including 200 V–240 V) with a 0.65 output power factor, translating to 420 W of usable real power.

Designed to support essential IT equipment such as network switches, routers, small servers, storage devices, and communications gear, the 5P650IR includes four IEC C13 output sockets for versatile connectivity and a standard C14 input connection.

Connectivity & Smart Management

The 5P650IR offers flexible connectivity and control with a USB (HID-compliant) port, an RS-232 serial port, dry contact outputs, and a mini-terminal block for remote ON/OFF and Remote Power Off functions. An expansion slot for optional communication cards enables integration with network management systems (e.g., SNMP), enhancing monitoring and control in enterprise environments.

It also supports Eaton’s intelligent power software tools — such as Intelligent Power Manager and Intelligent Power Protector — for automated shutdowns, event logging, and integration with virtualised platforms and infrastructure monitoring tools.
