The Eaton 9PX6KI is a 6 kVA / 5.4 kW online double‑conversion uninterruptible power supply (UPS) engineered to deliver dependable, continuous power conditioning and backup for critical IT infrastructure, servers, networking equipment, and industrial electronics. Designed in a 3U rack/tower convertible form factor, this UPS provides scalability, high efficiency, and clean power delivery for enterprise environments where uptime and power quality are essential.

Advanced Double‑Conversion Technology & Performance

At the heart of the 9PX6KI is online double‑conversion topology, which continuously regenerates output power to isolate connected equipment from mains disturbances such as surges, sags, frequency variations, and electrical noise. The UPS delivers a pure sine‑wave output with a 0.9 power factor, enabling delivery of 5.4 kW of real usable power from the 6 kVA rating—making it suitable for dense server loads and sensitive communication hardware.

The unit supports single‑phase input and output with selectable nominal voltages (200/208/220/230/240 V) and a wide input voltage tolerance (176 V–276 V without derating; extended range with derating), enhancing resilience in regions with unstable utility power.

Battery Management & Runtime Flexibility

The Eaton 9PX6KI includes user‑replaceable sealed lead‑acid batteries with Advanced Battery Management (ABM®) and temperature‑compensated charging, which prolong battery life and improve reliability over extended service cycles. The UPS supports automatic battery tests, deep discharge protection, and automatic recognition of external battery units, enabling extended runtime when paired with additional external battery modules.

Battery serviceability is enhanced via hot‑swappable design, allowing battery replacement without powering down connected loads—an important feature for mission‑critical systems in data centers or enterprise racks.
